CDTI calls for Innovative Public Purchasing

CDTI logoFrom the CDTI, an Innovative Public Purchaser offer is convened for R & D service providers. CDTI will receive expressions of interest until May 30 at 12:00 p.m. and then will be evaluated. The prototypes to be assessed must require a budget exceeding 2 million euros. The prototype will be given to the Spanish Public Administration that is interested in it and can validate the technology. The prototype must be found at a maturity level TRL4-6 to be taken to a TRL6-7, completed at a maximum of 2 years and have a relevant scope.

La Laguna hosted the Spanish Optical Design Meeting 2019

On Friday, March 22, the Spanish Optical Design Meeting 2019 was held in La Laguna.

A large group of professionals from the optical sector participated in the event and presented the following topics:

- Free form optics for virtual reality.

- Industrial metrology using wavefront technology.

- Tolerance budget and manufacturing issues in a 55X immersion microscope objective.

- Optical materials for astronomy applications.

- SAFARI: a far-infrared spectrometer for SPICA mission.

- Optics in cell phones.

- Extreme wide-angle lens design for land, underwater and both.

- Design and fabrication of microstructured polymer optical fibers.

- The adaptive optics facility for the future EST.

The Cabildo of Fuerteventura agrees with the ESA the implantation in the Canary Islands of a Stratoport for pseudo-satellites of high altitude

The agreement includes the implementation in the Fuerteventura Technology Park of a Stratoport for High Altitude Pseudo-Satellites (HAPS), the definition/evolution of integrated architectures, test benches and service platforms that combine 5G terrestrial and satellite networks, the test , development, integration, operation, control and maintenance of HAPS platforms, the development of 5G hybrid terrestrial-satellite networks, among others, and the start-up of a business accelerator with the support of ESA.
